Apple will introduce new Macs and iPads in October
Apple is expected to hold an event in October to unveil new Mac and iPad models, according to reliable industry sources. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will unveil the iMac, MacBook Pro and Mac mini models with the M4 chip.
Gurman said that the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will retain their current design and receive a performance boost. The Mac mini is rumored to get a long-awaited redesign, reduced ports and significantly thinner.
On the iPad side, Apple will introduce the seventh generation iPad mini. Features include a more powerful processor (possibly from the M3 series), a better camera and new color options. The 8.3-inch iPad mini is due for a refresh in 2021.
New models are also expected to debut in Apple’s more affordable iPad lineup. However, according to Gurman’s timeline, the iPad 11 launch is still uncertain.
Apple could follow its annual fall event schedule and unveil new products in October. If there are no supply or production issues, the products are expected to hit shelves in late October.
